Hey, I’m Max! 🤗

I help online business owners to master ManyChat so you can use chat marketing effectively without being spammy

You probably landed on this page because you’re curious what this Dutch weirdo is all about, right? 🤓

Well, this is me in a few bullet points:

  • I’m weird in a good way (at least that’s what I tell myself, lol).
  • I don’t think magic bullets exist, running a business takes hard work 💪
  • I love to travel & try to work remotely often 🌴
  • I love cheese and probably eat way too much of it 🧀🐭
  • I hate marketers who trick people into buying with sleazy tactics 🤮
  • I’m convinced that providing value is the ultimate way to build trust.

And I’m trying to help online business owners in two ways:

  • I share free resources about automation & marketing in the form of articles, and videos 🕺
  • I create in-depth (and fun) courses for people that want to skip long learning curves 📽

So that’s the TL;DR.

But if you want to read my full story, keep reading 📚

I’ll tell you what I’m all about.

The struggles I’ve had in my business.

The things I’m passionate about.

And how I’m trying to help online business owners like you 🙃

My first business (and big problem)

I started my first business in 2009 at the age of 17.

(even had to bring my mum to sign the contracts, lol)

I did branding for all kinds of businesses 🎨

There was not really a strategy behind it.

But it earned me enough to cover the rent for my room and studies 🙃

After I finished my studies, I had to decide between getting a job or to go all-in on my business.

Sitting in an office from 9 to 5 didn’t excite me much 😅

So I decided to go all-in on my business because I wanted freedom.

I wanted the freedom to work on whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, from wherever I wanted 💪

It somehow worked.

I did a lot of freelance gigs, and was able to travel months and months in all kinds of exotic countries.

But..

.. I quickly learned that achieving the freedom I wanted was harder than I thought.

While I loved being able to work from wherever I wanted & travel so much, I didn’t really enjoy the work that I did 😔

I was always worried about finding new clients.

And when I had clients, I was just trading my time for money designing things I didn’t felt passionate about.

So I knew I had to change.

But I didn’t know what, or how.

I had heard about people that completely separated their time from their income by starting an online business 😯

Drop shipping, selling online courses, starting a membership site, creating a software tool.

Those kinds of things.

But I had no clue how to get started.

So for another 2 years, this kept nagging at me ⌛

And I continued spending lots of time on design work that I didn’t felt passionate about.

Always stressed about finding the next client.

I wanted more freedom.

I didn’t want to trade my time for money anymore.

But how!? 🤷‍♂️

Things changed

In 2017, on the 22nd of November, things changed.

Just for fun, I shared a post in a Facebook Group about something I was doing related to marketing.

I didn’t expect anything from it, and also didn’t want to get anything out of it.

I just wanted to share this stuff for fun, because I thought it was so cool.

Here’s the post:

combining messenger marketing and marketing automation manychat

Holy shit!

Do you see how many people commented on that post!? 😯

In just a few days, hundreds of people said that they loved what I shared.

And many people asked if I could create a video tutorial about it 🎥

I had never done so before, especially not in English as it’s not my first language 😅

But I decided to give it a try.

I created a 3-part video tutorial about it, which was totally free, and a few hours after I published it replies like this started to roll in:

a new digi einstein is born 1

How can you not smile when someone calls you the next Digi Einstein?

And luckily people also liked the way I made the tutorial:

marketing tutorial very easy to follow retinasmall 1

Superduper awesome 😄

Then, people started asking me if I was planning to create a course about this.

This was it 🙌

My chance to start an online business 🤩

But I was still a bit afraid to waste time on creating a course that maybe nobody would buy.

So I decided to sell the course before I even made the first lesson 🙌

Best. Decision. Ever.

People could purchase the course at a discounted price, but they had to wait 6 weeks for me to finish the course.

I sold 32 courses during the first day the offer was online 🥳

I couldn’t be happier 😄

People paid me to explain things that I love talking about.

And instead of selling my time by the hour, I could create a course that I could sell over and over again 💸

But there were still many more things I needed to learn:

  • What kind of content to create so that people could find me online.
  • How to get people onto my email list in ActiveCampaign.
  • How to build enough trust for people to purchase one of my courses.
  • How to create a platform to host my online courses.
  • How to automate repetitive tasks with a tool like Make.

And so many more things.

And that’s what I’m trying to help online businesses owners with today 💪

Marketing, automation & making life a bit easier as an online business owner.

I’m doing that in a bunch of different ways.

I post new tutorials to my YouTube Channel every Thursday.

And I created a bunch of in-depth online courses that help you skip long learning curves.

.

.

And that’s my story! 😄

I hope that this give you an idea of what I’m about, and why I do what I do.

Now it’s your turn
